PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow shoppers to obtain check-out receipts without involvement of employees.SOLUTION: A check-out system according to an embodiment includes: a product registration device that comprises an operation device, and each means for preparation, determination, creation and notification; and a settlement device that comprises, settlement means, and issue means. The preparation means is configured to acquire product codes of purchase products and prepare a list of the purchase products, and the operation device is provided that has an operation surface directed at shoppers shopping the purchase products. The determination means is configured to determine a receipt issue in response to an operation with the operation device. The creation means is configured to create settlement information inclusive of the list thereof, and including issue information indicating to the effect when the receipt issue is determined. The notification means is configured to notify the settlement device of the settlement information, and the settlement means is configured to implement settlement processing on the basis of the settlement information.
