PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for inkjet having quick drying property to recording media with low water absorption, good in resistance of a printed matter, hardly generating discharge failure such as clog of a nozzle of heads or bending and excellent in discharging property.SOLUTION: An ink composition contains a binder resin, a surfactant, a pigment, a solvent and a pigment dispersion resin if needed, where the binder resin is dispersed as an emulsion particle having transition temperature of 40°C to 90°C, the binder resin and the pigment dispersion resin have an A value defined by a total sum of products of acid values and pts.mass of 0 mgKOH/g to 200 mgKOH/g, the surfactant is a nonionic compound of the formula (1) and the content of the solvent of the boiling point of 250°C or more contained in the solvent is less than 5 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the ink composition.
