The present invention relates to a bar code reading device, comprising an imaging system for acquiring an image of a bar code to be read and a light prompting component for forming a prompting cursor on the bar code to be read. The light prompting component comprises a prompting light source and a lens unit, which are arranged at an interval, wherein a light signal of the prompting light source passes through the lens unit to form a prompting cursor. The light prompting component of the bar code reading device of the present invention comprises a prompting light source and a lens unit; the prompting light source forms a prompting cursor on a bar code to be read through the lens unit, such that the bar code reading device can acquire a higher-quality image of the bar code to be read, thereby realizing rapid decoding; and meanwhile, the light prompting component is simple in structure, lower in cost and high in production efficiency. |
