Provided in embodiments of the present invention are a blowing action-based method for operating a mobile terminal and the mobile terminal. At least two microphones are provided on the mobile terminal. When a user blows air to the at least two microphones, characteristic parameters of audio signals received by the at least two microphones are acquired respectively, an operation type is determined on the basis of the acquired characteristic parameters of the audio signals received by the at least two microphones, an operation instruction is produced on the basis of the operation type, and an operation corresponding to the operation instruction is executed, thus allowing utilization of the microphones on the mobile terminal to implement operation of the mobile terminal, allowing simplification of an existing operating mode, and increasing human-machine interaction efficiency. |
