Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and device for cell switching, a terminal, a base station and a storage medium. The method comprises: when the signal quality of a serving cell where a terminal is currently located is lower than a preset value, receiving cell reselection information published by a base station where the serving cell is located, wherein the cell reselection information carries: physical cell identifiers of neighbor cells of the serving cell, frequency points of the neighbor cells and a service area identifier (SAI) corresponding to an evolved multimedia broadcast multicast service (eMBMS) supported by the neighbor cells; determining, according to the frequency points of the neighbor cells in the cell reselection information, a to-be-switched target cell; and if the to-be-switched target cell supports the eMBMS service currently performed by the terminal, switching from the serving cell to the to-be-switched target cell. By means of the present invention, it is judged whether a to-be-switched target cell supports eMBMS service currently performed by a terminal or not according to cell reselection information, thereby effectively ensuring the continuity of the eMBMS service when the terminal performs cell switching. |
