PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dipping nozzle which maintains a scum handling function and has a low-cost and simple structure capable of manufacturing uniform products and a strip casting apparatus using the dipping nozzle.MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM: A dipping nozzle for a strip casting apparatus comprises a hollow straight nozzle arranged in a horizontal direction and a hollow straight tube projecting in a vertical direction from the longitudinal center part of the hollow straight nozzle, has a roll-directional discharge opening in the nozzle longitudinal surface of the hollow straight nozzle arranged in a horizontal direction, and a side-weir-directional discharge opening in the nozzle width-directional surface of the hollow straight nozzle arranged in a horizontal direction, and has the relation of 0.1≤h/H between the height h from the lower end of a nozzle inner face of the roll-directional discharge opening and the side-weir-directional discharge opening and the height H of the nozzle inner face.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
