PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method capable of rightly and inexpensively coating on an aircraft.SOLUTION: A system for printing an image on a surface includes a robot 202 having at least one arm 210. A print head 300 is mounted to the arm 210 and can be moved by the arm 210 on a surface 102 along a scanning path 350 while printing image slices 404 on the surface 102. The image slices 404 have side edges facing each other. The print head 300 is configured to print an image slice 404 having an image inclination belt-like part 418 along at least one of the facing side edges, and the image density in the image inclination belt-like part 418 decreases from an inside part 414 of the image slice 404 toward the side edges.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
