<p>PURPOSE:To provide a method for manufacturing a water lubricated segment type bearing strip for large marine vessels which can manufacture products of various sizes merely by changing an extruder nozzle, not necessitating a mould and metal machining, and reduce the weight of the product in comparison with conventional types. CONSTITUTION:The part to be inserted into the inside of the bearing bush of a water lubricated segment type bearing strip for large marine vessels has a cross section of a barrel shape. The bearing strip is formed by the processes of simultaneous extrusion of three layers consisting of a bush side base material layer 1 of polyolefine including ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene, crossliked polyethylene or PP, glass fiber reinforced PE or PP, a middle layer 2 of polyolefine elastomer, and a shaft contacting lubricant layer 3 of nitrile rubber and subsequent vulcanization, and then cutting or cutting work into a standard dimension.</p> |
