<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the subject agent capable of efficiently eliminating slightly removable ink derived from old paper of offset printing, having strongly collecting force of eliminated ink in flotation, providing high-quality recycled pulp, comprising a specific compound. CONSTITUTION:A deinking agent for recycling old paper comprising an a sulfo fatty acid (poly)alkylene oxide ester of formula I or formula II (R1 to R3 are 8-24C alkyl, alkenyl, etc.; M1 to M3 are H, alkali metal, etc.; AO is C2H4O, C3H6O, etc.; (m) and (n) are average number of mols of addition of AO and is 1-150) or its salt as an essential component. The compound of formula I or formula II, for example, is obtained by a method of esterifying a (poly) alkylene glycol or a method of ester exchange reaction between an alpha-sulfo fatty acid ester and a (poly)alkylene glycol.</p> |
