摘要 PURPOSE:To omit a coupling lens and a condenser lens to make the optical pickup device small sized and low-cost with respect to the optical pickup device provided with the beam splitter which divides the laser luminous flux emitted from a semiconductor maser unto the optical path to a magneto-optical disk and that to.a monitor photodetector and divides the reflected light from the magneto-optical disk to a signal detecting system. CONSTITUTION:The separating face of a beam splitter 2 is formed into a quadric which has the concave directed to a semiconductor laser 1, and the separating face of a beam splitter as the analyzer provided in the signal detecting system is formed into a quadric which has the concave directed to the incidence side. Thus, the coupling lens for the semiconductor laser 1, the monitor photodetector, and the condenser lens provided in the optical path to the analyzer are omitted.
