Casting materials

In the process for improving metallic casting materials, the casting material is first heated to melting point and then kept at a temperature at or above the further processing temperature of the casting material. This melt is partially considerably overheated by limited local heating in such a way that as yet undissolved phases and substances in the melt are at least partially dissolved and then cool down again owing to the cooler melt environment.
