The packet described for containing liquid and solid products comprises a cup-shaped lower part (1) with a peripheral upper flange (2) and a cover (3) with a likewise peripheral flange (4). At least the facing surfaces of the flanges (2, 4) comprise plastics material. A closed weld (5) is disposed between the two flanges (2, 4). A tear line (7) in the form of a weakening line is provided towards the centre of the cover (3) to form a connection strip (6) with a tab (9) to be gripped. In order to simplify production and improve sealing and ease of use, the weld (5) passes through the tab (9) to be gripped which comprises two layers. The lower layer is integral with the cup flange (2) and the upper layer is integral with the cover flange (4). The part of the tear line (7) extending in the region of the tab (9) to be gripped is divided into two sections (13, 14). The lower section (13) in the layer on the cup flange (2) extends along the boundary between the cup flange (2) and the tab (9) to be gripped and the upper section (14) in the layer on the cover flange (4) extends a slight distance into the tab (9) to be gripped. The remaining part of the tear line (7) is in the form of a line weakening both flanges (2, 4). |
