GAS LEAK DETECTOR FOR GAS-INSULATED ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive monitoring apparatus which makes possible early detection of a gas leak by accomplishing a temperature correction of individual actually measured values of gas pressures detected with a plurality of gas pressure sensors without being affected by energized current to determine a gas pressure conversion value at a reference temperature. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of closed tanks 11-14 connected to gas-insulated electric equipment are provided with gas pressure sensors 41-44 respectively and a common temperature sensor 5 is provided on the surface of an external wall of any one closed tank 11. Moreover, a temperature correction means 6 is provided to correct individual actually measured values of gas pressures detected with the plurality of gas pressure sensors 41-44 regarding the surface temperature of the external wall detected with the common temperature sensor 5 as average gas temperature and calculates a gas pressure conversion value at a reference temperature. A gas leak judging means 7 is provided to judge the presence of a gas leak by comparing the gas pressure conversion value calculated with a criterion value set previously.
