A flat type electrostatic separator is provided to adjust time for which specimen passes through electric field and efficiently electrify the specimen. A flat type electrostatic separator comprises a frame(10) and a first electrode plate(20) is coupled with the frame to be inclined to a horizontal plane. A second electrode plate(30) is disposed above the first electrode plate while facing the first electrode plate. A power supply is electrically connected with the first and second electrode plates to form electric field therebetween. A vibrator is connected with the first electrode plate to reciprocate the first electrode plate in one direction. A specimen supplier(60) supplies specimen, which is to be separated using static electricity caused by the electric field between the first and second electrode plates, to the upper surface of the first electrode plate. The first electrode plate rotates about a first rotating shaft to adjust an inclined angle of the first electrode plate.
