PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a seal member having characteristics comprising a lower frictional coefficient and a lower abrasion characteristic than those of conventional sealing members and useful for compressors. SOLUTION: (A) 5-30wt.% of carbon fibers having a single filament tensule strength of >=100kgf/mm<2> , (B) 1-20wt.% of one or more kinds of sliding- improving materials selected from graphite powder and pitch carbonaceous carbon fibers, and (C) the remaining amount substantially comprising polyphenylene sulfide resin are blended, melt-kneaded, pelletized and subsequently injection-molded into a spiral seal member. |
