Optical receiver with wide dynamic range

The optical receiver has an opto-electric transducer (D1) connected in series with a limiting diode (D2), the common node (CP) between them connected to the input (IV) of an amplifier (V) via a complex coupling resistance (R1,C1) with a resistor and a capacitor. The diode terminal which is not coupled to the common node is coupled to a fixed bias potential (Uv), provided by a resistive voltage divider (R2,R3) coupled to the difference input (+) of the amplifier.
