In order to allow adequate levelling with respect to the ground and to selectively vary the cutting planes of the block, the machine frame 2 and the self-supporting bridge 3 with rack guides 4, 5 are mounted on support legs 15, 16 whose height may be adjusted by means of hydraulic/pneumatic cylinders 21, 22 associated with them which have regulation means 23, 24, 25, 26. Also, a drive unit 7 responsible for the rotation or precession of the closed loop of the cutting wire is mounted on the second guides 28 perpendicular to the bridge 3, on which guides it is able to move by virtue of a double-acting pneumatic device 27 equipped with regulation means 29.
