PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a stripelike damage or wrinkle from being generated in a metallic foil, a decorative paper, etc., to be wound by joining end faces of cut terminal parts of a wound sheet stock with each other to form a joined part in an approximately flush manner. SOLUTION: When the thickness of a cylindrical body 1 reaches a specified value, a craft paper 2 is cut, and a terminal part 2a of the cut craft paper 2 is peeled from its inner craft paper 2b. When one sheet of the craft paper 2b exposed inward of the terminal part 2a of the peeled craft paper 2 is cut by a specified length (L), a terminal part storage part 5 is formed on the cut part. The terminal part 2a of the cut craft paper 2 is dropped into the terminal part storage part 5, its end face 2c is abutted on an end face 2d of the craft paper 2 opposite thereto, and fixed by an adhesive material 4 coated on an inner surface side of the craft paper 2. Then, the terminal part 2c of the craft paper 2 can be approximately flush with an outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical body 1.
