<p>The present invention relates to an electro-acoustic transducer of ribbon type comprising an elongated membrane unit (5) having a longitudinal main portion (22) that extends in a single plane.The membrane unit (5) further comprises at least one section (21a, 21b) that extends in another plane with a normal that deviates an angle (υ), preferably less than 15°, from the normal of the longitudinal main portion (22).
