PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust roller bearing assuring an excellent durability and reliability by allowing a sufficient quantity of lubricating oil to flow even under severe service conditions. SOLUTION: The thrust roller bearing is structured so that the distance (a) between the inner side face of its raceway 5a on the high speed rotation side and that side face of a retainer 8a mating with the mentioned inner side face is made greater than the distance (b) (i.e., a>b) between the inner side face of the raceway 6a on the low speed rotation side and the side face of the retainer 8a on its side mating with the mentioned inner side face. As a result, the lubricating oil can flow efficiently between the inner side face of the raceway 5a on the high speed rotation side and one side face of the retainer 8a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
