PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door peripheral gap blocking mechanism when a door is fully closed by attaching a door shoe of the full door width in the gap between the door and a sill which starts a smoke blocking body through a lever and a link by a provided cam when the door is closed near the door fully closing position so as to utilize the opening/closing operation of the door, and blocks the gap between the door and a door peripheral edge part frame (a three-way frame). SOLUTION: A smoke blocking door or a smoke blocking shutter separate from an elevator provided in an elevator lobby for blocking smoke is replaced by a smoke blocking body 3 attached to an elevator hoistway door 1 to block a gap between the hoistway door 1 and a door peripheral edge part frame 4. The smoke blocking body can replace the smoke blocking door or the smoke blocking shutter by closing the gap between the hoistway door 1 and the door peripheral edge part frame 4, and has a mechanism capable of demonstrating the smoke blocking mechanism whenever the door is fully closed irrespective of the operation of a smoke sensor or a fire sensor. In addition, the operation of the smoke sensor is interlocked with the elevator operation to control a part of the elevator operation.
