摘要 A plasma display device and a method for driving the same are provided to reduce address erroneous discharge by shortening voltage variation time in address electrodes during a subfield having an auxiliary reset period. A plasma display device includes plural address electrodes(A1-An), a first switch, an address electrode driver(300), and a controller(200). The first switch includes a power recovery capacitor and an address driver which controls a current path between the power recovery capacitor and the address electrodes. The address electrode driver turns on the first switch during a first period while a voltage of the address electrodes is varied from a first voltage to a second voltage and during a second period while the voltage of the address electrodes is varied from the first voltage to the second voltage. The controller adjusts at least one of the first and second periods according to a first address period of a first subfield having a main reset period for initializing discharge cells and a second address period of a second subfield having an auxiliary reset period for initializing discharge cells displayed images in a previous subfield.
