PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch whose cost reduction, miniaturization and integration are easy as compared with the conventional optical switch. SOLUTION: In an optical switch which includes an inflection-deformable waveguide sheet which has a core part and also has an optical waveguide formed inside of the wavegiude sheet by the core part and a clad part formed at surroundings of the core part and in which a cut is formed in one surface of the waveguide sheet so that the optical waveguide is at least disconnected and which switches the optical waveguide by putting a distance between respectively exposed end faces of the optical waveguide closer to or farther away from two opposite cut surfaces of the cut by inflection-deforming the waveguide sheet, the optical switch is characterized in that the cut part of the optical waveguide of the waveguide sheet is made an increased thickness part by forming a projected part in the surface of another side of the waveguide sheet.
