PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acetabular cup assembly for attachment to an acetabulum. SOLUTION: The acetabulum cup assembly 100 for attachment to an acetabulum includes a body 102 having an inner wall 104 and defining a body opening 106 provided in the body 102, and a fastener 110 having a portion thereof fitted through the opening 106 of the body, and rigidly connected to the body 102. The body 102 defines threads 116 positioned in the internal periphery of the opening 106 and the fastener 110 includes external threads for cooperation with the treads 116 of the body 102.
