TRANSMISSIVE DIFFRACTION ELEMENT, OPTICAL PICK UP DEVICE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING TRANSMISSIVE DIFFRACTION ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly manufacture a transmissive diffraction element capable of diffracting only a light having a specific wavelength in a plurality of the incident lights each having different wavelength.

SOLUTION: A transparent substrate 2 comprising a single material is prepared and recessed parts 3 are formed periodically and respectively on the transparent substrate 2 by etching and an optical multiple film is filled in each recessed part 3. As a result, by adjusting the optimum etching condition only to the transparent substrate 2 comprising the single material, the recessed parts 3 are periodically provided at a stretch without changing the etching condition on the way.
