PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a tire component member capable of adhering rubber strip pieces in order without formation of a clearance. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a tire component member comprises the steps of orienting long rectangular rubber strip pieces 1 obliquely on the outer peripheral bent surface of a curved surface drum 5 in which the central part is more expanded than both sides and adhering the strip pieces 1 in order in the peripheral direction so as to form a tire component member. An adsorption drum 11 capable of adsorbing the rubber strip pieces 1 while rotating on the peripheral surface sucks rubber strip pieces in order from the extremity in such a posture as to be inclined to the curved surface drum 5 by a predetermined angle and presses the adsorbed rubber strip pieces 1 in order from its tip toward the outer peripheral bent surface of the rotating curved surface drum 5, while moving in a predetermined range in the direction of the rotational axis of the curved surface drum 5, in order to transfer the rubber strip pieces 1.
