<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery which can be charged at a high charging voltage of more than 4.3 V and 4.6 V or less by lithium standard using a plurality of kinds of positive electrode active materials having different physical properties, and is superior in charge and discharge cycle characteristics and charge preservation characteristics without deteriorating battery capacity. <P>SOLUTION: The positive electrode active material of the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery contains a lithium-cobalt complex oxide in which at least zirconium and magnesium are added and a lithium-nickel manganese complex oxide having a layered structure. The lithium cobalt complex oxide includes at least two kinds of zirconium, magnesium added lithium cobalt complex oxide having different added quantity of zirconium.
