<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having excellent handling property in forming a film, giving a film having excellent stability, durability and proton conductivity and being usable as a polymer electrolyte membrane, a solid acid catalyst, an ion exchange membrane, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The compound comprises a solid acid and a multi-branched polymer, wherein the solid acid is bonded to the multi-branched polymer by electrophilic substitution reaction, the solid acid is preferably an amorphous carbon having an introduced sulfonic acid group and prepared by heat-treating a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon in concentrated sulfuric acid or fuming sulfuric acid to condense and sulfonate the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, and the multi-branched polymer is preferably a multi-branched polymer having an oxidation-resistant aromatic structure on the main chain and a sulfone group at the terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
