<p>Use of an oligoglycerin fatty acid ester, made of an acid component, preferably a fatty acid compound (I), dicarboxylic acid, dimeric-, oligomeric- and/or hydroxy fatty acid and oligoglycerin or alkoxylate of oligoglycerin, as thickener in oil based drilling fluids, is claimed. Use of an oligoglycerin fatty acid ester, made of an acid component, preferably a fatty acid compound of formula (R-COOH) (I), dicarboxylic acid, dimeric-, oligomeric- and/or hydroxy fatty acid and oligoglycerin or alkoxylate of oligoglycerin, as thickener in oil based drilling fluids, is claimed. R : 7-21C-alkyl or -alkenyl. An independent claim is included for thickening the oil based drilling fluids, comprising adding 0.1-10 wt.% of oligoglycerin ester to the drilling fluids.</p> |
