<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup and an optical disk device that record a visible image at high speed on a label surface of an optical disk which has the label surface on which the visible image can be recorded. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal lens is arranged in an optical path between a laser diode and an objective lens, and, when the visible image is recorded in a label recording layer, by applying a voltage to the liquid crystal lens using a liquid crystal control circuit and condensing lights to the objective lens appropriately, an effective numerical aperture is decreased by combining the liquid crystal lens and the objective lens, and a spot size of the laser light is increased, and thereby increasing speed in recording to the label recording layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
