Apparatus for reducing a fracture of a bone, the apparatus comprising: a bridging member that defines a first receptacle and a second receptacle, the bridging member spanning from the first receptacle to the second receptacle; a channel within the bridging member; a pressure distribution member that is slidable in the channel between an unlock position and a lock position; and a base rigidly affixed to the bridging member, the base comprising a collar that defines a third receptacle; wherein: the first receptacle is configured to receive a first bone penetrating element at a position, operatively external to the bone, on the first bone penetrating element; the second receptacle is configured to receive a second bone penetrating element at a position, operatively external to the bone, on the second bone penetrating element; the third receptacle is configured to receive a third bone penetrating element at a position, operatively external to the bone, on the third bone penetrating element; when the pressure distribution member is in the unlock position, the bridging member is movable relative to the first and the second bone penetrating elements, and when the pressure distribution member is in the lock position, the bridging member is fixed relative to the first and the second bone penetrating elements; and, when the pressure distribution member is in the lock position, movement of the base along the third bone penetrating element, in operation, bends the third bone penetrating element along a length of the third bone penetrating element that extends between the bone and the base.
