PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide oral agents and methods for rapidly and effectively increasing blood-arginine-level after intake, and to provide oral agents and methods by which the effect of arginine intake can be obtained rapidly.SOLUTION: The invention provides a rapid-acting blood-arginine-level increasable oral agent increasing blood-arginine-level within one hour after-intake and containing citrulline or a salt thereof and arginine or a salt thereof as active ingredients. A dose of the agent for an adult is 200 mg to 3 g in terms of free citrulline and arginine as a total amount of the citrulline or a salt thereof and the arginine or a salt thereof. The agent is prepared so that the composition ratio of citrulline or a salt thereof and arginine or a salt thereof is 1:20-20:1 by weight ratio in terms of the free citrulline and arginine.SELECTED DRAWING: None
