PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IABP balloon catheter having excellent insertion properties.SOLUTION: An IABP balloon catheter has: a cylindrical end chip; a catheter tube having a first tube part whose distal end is inserted in the end chip and a second tube part where a first lumen and a second lumen are formed inside and which is connected to a proximal end of the first tube part; a joint part which is connected to a proximal end of the end chip and joins the end chip and the first tube part; and a balloon fixed to an outer periphery of the end chip and fixed to an outer periphery of the second tube part. The balloon has a cylindrical neck part which is fixed to the end chip and has a prescribed outer diameter. A proximal end of the neck part is positioned nearer the proximal end side than the proximal end of the joint part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
