<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ionic liquid stable over a wide range of temperature and excellent in electrochemical stability. <P>SOLUTION: The ionic liquid contains, as a cationic component, an organic compound represented by general formula (1) (wherein, substituents R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>8</SP>, which are independent of one another and may be the same as or different from one another, are each H, a linear or branched 1-30C alkyl group, linear or branched 2-30C alkenyl group having one or more double bonds, linear or branched 2-30C alkynyl group having one or more triple bonds, saturated or partially or fully unsaturated cycloalkyl group, aryl group or heterocyclic group; X<SP>1</SP>and X<SP>2</SP>are each an N atom, O atom or C atom; and dotted lines denote a conjugate structure). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
