PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image compression device, an image compression method and an image compressor program that can efficiently converge the data amount of compressed image data within a target value.SOLUTION: An estimating unit 19 includes an image reducing unit 191 for generating reduced image data obtained by sampling image data on a block basis, an encoding trial unit 192 for trying encoding of the reduced image data by each of a high compression parameter and a low compression parameter, a calculation unit 193 for calculating a normalized target data amount after compression of the reduced image when data amounts from a data amount after the compression based on the low compression parameter to a data amount after the compression based on the high compression parameter are normalized from 0 to 1, and a determining unit 194 for determining the compression parameter corresponding to the calculated normalized target data amount based on a conversion table defining the correspondence relationship between respective discrete values of the compression parameters from the low compression parameter to the high compression parameter and the range of the normalized target data amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
