PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction machine capable of enhancing operability.SOLUTION: A hydraulic shovel 1 includes a wireless authentication device 52 that performs wireless authentication with a portable key 51, and a vehicle body controller 48 that switches between electrification and non-electrification states for a battery 31, a starter motor 16, and a first electrical component 37, based on a result of authentication by the wireless authentication device 52 and an operation of a start switch 12. The wireless authentication device 52 transmits a request signal inside an authentication-enabled area, and performs authentication when an ID code for authentication returned by the portable key 51 in response to the transmitted request signal has been received. When in an "engine halted and electrification turned off" state, the vehicle body controller 48 switches from the "engine halted and electrification turned off" state to an "engine halted and electrification turned on" state as soon as the portable key 51 enters the authentication-enabled area while a lock lever 13 is in a locked position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
