PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering assist control system that enhances both fail-safe performance and performance of recognition of one-system abnormality by a user by making good use of actuator units of a plurality of systems.SOLUTION: Through cooperation between assist ECUs 303, 313 and an HCU 54, a steering assist control system 1 actualizes: monitoring means of monitoring actuator units 30, 31 of respective systems; torque control means of, in a case of a one-system abnormality in which one specific system is determined to be abnormal and the remaining system is to be normal out of the actuator units 30, 31, controlling assist torque Ta to be lower as compared with that before the one-system abnormality occurs, in conjunction with the rotation operation of a steering handle, said assist torque Ta being obtained by combining output torque of all the systems; and warning control means of controlling an information presentation device 5 so as to give auditory presentation of a warning sound in a local vehicle 2 as the assist torque Ta is controlled to be lower.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
