PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for diagnosing a remaining life of a transformer, capable of reducing cost related to preventive maintenance.SOLUTION: In the method for diagnosing a remaining life of a transformer, when a predetermined length in the vicinity of the end surface of a coil and in the circumferential direction of the coil is ΔL in the transformer having a cylindrical coil constituted by a composite material containing resin, insulation paper and metal, at a place where an absolute value of the change amount ΔW/ΔL of wall thickness W of the coil is larger than an average value of the change amount of the wall thickness W of the whole circumferential direction of the coil, characteristics of the composite material are measured and the remaining life of the transformer is diagnosed using a measurement value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
