PURPOSE:To provide the control device of an electromagnetic clutch suppressing the breakage and noise occurrence of gears and the like of a driving force transmission system. CONSTITUTION:A control device has a central arithmetic processor CPU 41, a read only memory ROM 42, a random access memory RAM 43, and an input/ output I/O interface 44 for outputting the drive signals to conveyance clutches 29a-29d and development clutches 3Oa-3Od of a developing tank and for inputting the signals from the other load or sensors. The CPU 41, ROM 42, RAM 43, and I/O interface 44 are connected via a data bus 45 and an address bus 46. The CPU 41 on/off-controls the conveyance clutches 29a-29d and the development clutches 30a-30d which are electromagnetic clutches via the program stored in the ROM 42. The engagement and disengagement of the electromagnetic clutches are repeatedly controlled via step S1 through step 12. The engagement of the clutches is advanced in steps by the output of the drive signals outputted at a time interval shorter than the response time of the clutches, and the driving force is transmitted relatively slowly. |
