PURPOSE:To effectively utilize light energy produced from an artificial light source and increase the yield by arranging the artificial light source in the center and receiving the light by plants set in cultivation panels on both the left and right sides. CONSTITUTION:A culture solution is placed in a nursery box 2 provided under an artificial light source 1 and a nursery culture medium 11 is then floated on the culture solution to sow seeds in the nursery culture medium 11 and germinate the seeds. Thereby, seedlings are raised. When the seedlings grow to a prescribed size, the nursery culture medium 11 is divided into sections and inserted into each plug for each seedling. Each of the resultant plugs is then inserted into a plug inserting hole of each cultivation panel 4. In the above- mentioned state, parts of the roots of plants (A) are protruded from the back surface of the cultivation panel 4 and nutriments passing through water feed parts 5 is absorbed. The plants (A) grow from the panel 4 in the direction of the artificial light source 1. When the plants grow to a prescribed size, the plants are picked off and used for foods. The culture solution is intermittently circulated several times a day and the amount reduced is supplied at an interval of several days.
