PURPOSE:To obtain a catalyst having high ozone removing performance by containing titanium oxide, zeolite, manganese dioxide and an inorganic binding material as a catalyst for decomposing ozone. CONSTITUTION:A kneaded material of manganese dioxide, zeolite and the inorganic binding material such as silica sol, alumina sol is formed into honeycomb state, which is then dried and heat-treated, impregnated with a manganese salt solution and is decomposed by heating to convert the manganese salt into manganese dioxide. The catalyst obtained in this way has high ozone removing performance and has high purification ability against a secondarily produced material even in the case of transient lose of balance with ozone. |
