PURPOSE:To provide a tension controller enabling constant tension to be applied on wires mechanically, and also enabling fine control of such tension. CONSTITUTION:The tension controller is designed to firmly hold respective wires 11 while applying only a specified tension thereon in conducting trimming operation for two or more pair-twisted such wires. The controller body 20 is equipped with at least two revolving shafts 21. Each of these shafts, in turn, is equipped with a holding part 22 to firmly hold each of the wires. The periphery of the revolving shaft is provided, being in contact, with a revolving shaft- stopping member 23 designed to stop the revolution of the shaft by applying revolution-controlling force comparable to the specified tension to be applied on the wires. The revolving shaft is also equipped, side by side, with a tension- imparting device 24 to apply tension on the wires held by the holding part through the revolution in itself along with revolving the shaft in a specified direction. |
