A method for transporting and cleaning tuberous roots includes transporting a heap, its chopping, distributing, delivering onto cleaning working elements, cleaning from soil and vegetable additives and removing the cleaned tuberous roots. After the heap is distributed, the bodies of tuberous roots are separated, they are wiped with forced pressure in different directions with the aid of a centrifugal thrower, further they are guided along the tangent onto the vertical cylindrical separating surface which counterrotates. A device for transporting and cleaning tuberous roots comprises a frame, a feed conveyer, a baffle brush, a heap distributor, a finger blanket cleaner and an unloading conveyer. Inside the upper part of the separating surface shaped as a cylinder, formed by round rods, mounted with gaps to each other and arranged on generatrices along the screw lines, kinematically connected to a rotary actuator, a centrifugal thrower is mounted, which consists of two driving plates of different diameters which counterrotate with different angular speeds. The upper plate of a lesser diameter has bent edges and is connected with a frame in the direction of rotational axis with the aid of a compression spring. The cylindrical separating surface rotates in the direction opposite to rotational direction of the lower plate which has the diameter larger than the upper plate. |
