PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a log-on certificate which supports the connection canceling process of a distributed system. SOLUTION: Each log-on certificate 110 is a safe package holding qualification information sufficient to establish the identity, right, and special right of a user/machine in a domain other than a home domain. When the user/ machine tries to connect itself to a system in the domain other than the home domain, the user/machine provides the log-on certificate 110 certifying the qualification of the user/machine. The domain in which the user/machine tries to connect itself to the system decodes the qualification information and releases a seal when the user/machine is requested to obtain the qualification information contained in the safe package. When the user/machine has a sufficient qualification, the connection between the system and the user/machine is permitted and, when the user/machine does not have any sufficient qualification, the connection is not permitted. |
