PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective device having excellent workability and firm installation for a building parapet section. SOLUTION: This protective device for a building parapet section is provided with holders 5 fitted to the apex of the building parapet section, a coping 2 fitted on the holders 5, connection sections fitted to the building inside of the holders by connecting tools and connected to the connecting tools, an upper frame member 6 constituted of a receiving plate formed downward from the connection sections and receiving the upper section of protective panels 4 and a side plate, a long lower frame member 8 having a groove section at the upper section and fitted to the foundation face of a building below the upper frame member 6 in parallel with the upper frame member 6, rectangular protective panels 4 inserted with lower end sections into the groove section of the lower frame member 8 and abutted with the base face sections at the upper end on the receiving plate of the upper frame member 6, and a long plate-like pressing member 10 fixed to the front face of the side plate of the upper frame member 6 and pressing and fixing the surface sections at the upper end of the protective panels 4 with the lower face.
