A piston (13) has an internal radial seal (17) for sealing a pressure chamber (15), and an external radial seal (18) to protect sliding surfaces. A sliding guideway (19) is arranged between the internal and external radial seals. A leakage channel (22) is formed for exhausting the pressure chamber and for lubricating the radial seals and the sliding guideway. A shifter rod is displaceable into any of the gears provided on opposing sides to press a piston (13) arranged in a cylinder bore.
