PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nonaqueous treating agent for high-strength polyester fibers scarcely having fluff, excellent in weaving property and product quality, not generating dyed nonuniformity and excellent in dyeing evenness and particularly suitable for weaving for sheet belts, and the high-strength polyester fiber. SOLUTION: The nonaqueous treating agent comprises 20-80 wt.% oil solution component composed of (A) 40-80 pts. wt. aliphatic carboxylic acid alkyl ester, (B) 15-50 pts. wt. polyalkylene glycol type nonionic surfactant and (C) 3-15 pts. wt. anionic surfactant and a diluent component composed of an organic solvent, and has 5-90 centipoise viscosity at 25°C.
