<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the waste of paper to the minimum by restraining the removal of the paper to the minimum in jamming disposal. <P>SOLUTION: The paper processing device 1 is equipped with a paper processing unit 10 which can be pulled out of and housed in a device body 2, a locking means 100 locking the processing unit 10 in the device body 2 so as to freely release the locking, a solenoid SOL making the locking means 100 lock and release the locking, and a controller capable of controlling the actuation of the solenoid SOL.
