An insulating film comprising a compound having a cage structure, wherein the insulating film has a coefficient of linear expansion of 120x10^-6 K^-1 or less; an insulating film, which is obtained by a method comprising: irradiating a film-forming composition containing a compound having a cage structure with electron beams so as to cure the film-forming composition; and an electronic device comprising the insulating film.
