<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device capable of reducing an effect of a reflected light from a recording layer other than the recording layer of a recording/reproducing target without greatly lowering the amount of main beam when recording/reproducing is performed in an optical disk having a plurality of recording layers in one side. <P>SOLUTION: A main beam and a sub-beam reflected from an optical disk are made incident on a multi-division light receiving element 9 through a dimmer filter 10. A dimmer filter 10 includes an annular dimmer part 102. The dimmer part 102 dims part of a passing light at a ratio corresponding to the spectral ratio of the main and sub beams, and reduces intensity of a reflected light from a recording layer other than the recording layer of a recording/reproducing target and made incident on sub-light receiving elements 92 and 93 relative to that of a reflected light from the target recording layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
